What is the Student Union Management Team?

The Student Union Management Team’s task is to lead and support the Student Union’s daily and ongoing operations. The Management Team consists of nine full-time students with an honorarium who work both strategically and operationally within the areas of educational affairs, student welfare affairs, the career and business affairs, and membership services. They ensure that the Union’s day-to-day activities function smoothly while also looking ahead and working long-term to improve and develop the Student Union and the students’ time at Chalmers.

What does the Student Union Management Team do within the university?

Part of the Management Team’s work is to collaborate with the university to develop the study environment and education for students. To achieve this, the Management Team works to:

  • Participate in all decision-making and preparatory bodies at Chalmers
  • Conduct educational advocacy at Chalmers
  • Monitor the education sector from a national and international perspective
  • Work with students’ legal rights and due process
  • Promote equality within the Student Union and the university
  • Promote members’ safety in the Union’s and the university’s premises and surrounding areas
  • Monitor the work environment of students
  • Collaborate with the university on career, business and utilisation matters
